Serves is our way of shining a spotlight on the remarkable organizations in McLennan County while recognizing the invaluable contributions of our community partners.
Throughout this campaign, we aim to highlight the impactful work being done by these organizations. They are the unsung heroes who embody the spirit of compassion, empathy, resilience, working relentlessly to improve the lives of individuals and families in need.
The Roof Co. Serves is not only a celebration of these organizations, but a platform that aims to connect them with passionate volunteers, enthusiastic supporters, and potential donors in the Waco community. By fostering these connections, we hope to create a ripple effect of positive change that resonates far and wide.
Isaiah 117 House
Isaiah 117 House provides physical and emotional support in a safe and loving home for children awaiting foster care placement.
Isaiah 1:17 says,
"defend the cause of the fatherless."
The Hangar
The Hangar is focused on creating tangible and lasting change in the lives of our homeless friends. This often involves more than simply meeting the physical needs of the individual, although that is important. In order to create a true change within the lives of anyone, it requires a relationship.
We follow the example set by Jesus Christ in His ministry on Earth as we seek to minister to those in need and embody a beacon of hope to the world.
CWJC McLennan County
Christian Women’s Job Corps of McLennan County has served women over the age of 18 since 2003. “CWJC Waco” provides 100% free Job Training and GED Classes that seek to empower women through a holistic approach that fosters spiritual, personal, and professional growth enabling women to transform themselves, their families, and their communities.
Compassion Ministries
The goal of Compassion is to reintegrate homeless families with children and those families on the verge of homelessness into permanent housing and employment. To reach that goal, they provide services for residents while living in a transitional housing facility, both in-house and in conjunction with local agencies currently providing services.

The mission is to provide Christian-based, holistic, relationship-centered programs that empower the poor and marginalized. Programs Include:

A Champion's Shoes
Our mission is to support children who cannot get new shoes to keep up with their growth and sports demands. The feeling of a new pair of shoes and the confidence it delivers is almost impossible to replicate and can have a meaningful impact on a child’s life. Our goal is to build a championship mindset in kids nationwide!
FishKid at Heart
FishKid at Heart youth casting events are a positive community event for youth and families. Fishing is a great sport for parents to build stronger relationships with their children. Our events create excitement and passion for fishing within kids and provide parents with the knowledge they need to spend valuable time with the children in an outdoor experience.
JMB Fishing Foundation
Since 2019, JMB has worked with, and impacted over 200 children and their families. We work to provide meaningful memories by pairing children with terminal illnesses and children with special needs, with veterans, wounded warriors, fishermen, hunters and outdoorsmen in great adventures. Our goal is to provide new opportunities & smiles that last a lifetime.
